Speech Language Therapists Experiences of Working with Individuals with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome
Hello,
You are invited to participate in our survey exploring Speech and Language Therapy for individuals with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. As a therapist working with individuals diagnosed with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, you can provide a valuable perspective on this service that you provide, and your knowledge of the support needs required by these individuals. We are very interested to explore your understanding of the syndrome, and how you approach therapy with these individuals. This will give us a more in-depth picture of how SLT’s are providing this service to individuals with 22q11.2DS, and where there might be gaps in ‘best practice’ for these individuals in terms of speech language support.
In this survey, you will be asked to answer 25 questions about your experiences in working with individuals who have a diagnosis of 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. It will take approximately 15- 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.
Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact the lead researcher Dr Laura Roche by email at laura.roche@newcastle.edu.au.
This project has been approved by Newcastle University Human Ethics (H-2022-46).
