Hey there!
You have the opportunity to contribute to a study that is being conducted by researchers from the University of Newcastle's School of Education, as part of Andrew Sawatske's PhD studies and supervised by Dr Carl Leonard and Dr Jess Harris.
We are looking for passionate high school classroom teachers who are currently working within the New South Wales Department of Education as either mainstream or support unit teachers. The purpose of this research is to investigate the wellbeing of these teachers, a topic that has not received as much attention as it deserves.
Participation is completely voluntary and involves completing an anonymous questionnaire that will take only 15-20 minutes of your time. But if you want to go the extra mile, you may also choose to participate in an online semi-structured interview, which could take up to 60 minutes.
You will have the opportunity to share your wellbeing experiences as a classroom teacher and even provide optional anecdotes. Rest assured that your anonymity is guaranteed, unless you choose to share your name and contact details for an interview.
By participating in this research, you will be contributing to a greater understanding of the wellbeing of teachers in mainstream and special education classrooms. You could also be the lucky winner of a $100 gift voucher, or at the very least, have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped inform future research direction.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to participate in this exciting research project. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Best regards, The research team
